Established in 1972, The Center for Mexican American Studies at the University of Houston is focused on advancing knowledge, promoting critical thinking and fostering the value of service to Latinos. As the Hispanic community continues to grow so does the need for the programs provided by CMAS. In fact, the need has never been greater. The Center is a leader among interdisciplinary academic programs in the nation, and its successful educational pipeline has recruited and retained students from High School through Graduate School for more than 20 years. Growing a Center that meets the need of a Growing Community is a task characterized by the passion and expertise of faculty and staff that contribute to the solution of social problems undeniably tied to the issues of an entire nation.

Please consider donating to support CMAS. Your gift will ensure that we can continue to make a difference for Latino students and in our community by addressing the pressing issues affecting the Hispanic community. Your gift is 100% tax deductible.
